Renata grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended undergraduate school at The University of New Mexico.  She went on to  graduate from the Physician Assistant program at Midwestern University in Illinois.  Before moving to Colorado she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago as part of their orthopedic trauma team.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors; especially running and hiking with her dog.
