Meet Mitchell John II, MD

Dr. John is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon at Panorama Orthopedics specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He brings extensive expertise in various orthopedic surgical techniques, including joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and fracture management.

Dr. John has particular expertise in upper extremity surgery and incorporates innovative surgical approaches such as the subscapularis-sparing technique for total shoulder replacement. His comprehensive training in both the United States and France has equipped him with advanced techniques in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery.

His patient care philosophy centers on ensuring patients fully understand their condition, treatment options, and recovery expectations. Dr. John is especially attuned to the challenges patients face navigating the healthcare system and strives to explain complex medical concepts in ways that empower patients to make informed decisions.

Outside of work, Dr. John enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Megan and daughter Evangeline through skiing, hiking, and fishing, and he’s the family’s go-to chef, especially for Cajun cooking.
