Meet Michael Lersten, MD

Dr. Michael Lersten is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician specializing in interventional spine, sports medicine, and pain management. He has particular expertise in regenerative medicine using orthobiologics, which are biological substances that facilitate the healing process of orthopedic injuries.

Dr. Lersten’s practice includes advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided injections and comprehensive orthobiologic treatments. As an athlete himself, he is passionate about helping patients achieve better quality of life through fitness and non-surgical pain management approaches.

Dr. Lersten takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on diagnosing the root cause of conditions to improve both immediate symptoms and long-term well-being. He believes orthobiologics represent an exciting frontier in medicine that provides patients with more minimally invasive treatment options. Throughout his training, he has provided medical support for athletes of all skill levels, from weekend warriors and high school competitors to professional athletes.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Lersten enjoys powerlifting, reading, building his record collection, trying new wines with his wife, and attempting to break 90 on the golf course.
